Brent left for vacation in Hawaii at about the same time that I returned from vacation in Oregon and Washington. Since I told him to stop sending me so many pointless pictures prior to my vacation, he is now sending even more. I might have gotten more pictures of his vacation than I got of mine. Although I would like to see Hawaii for the horticultural aspects, I am not otherwise impressed by what little I know about it. Perhaps I would get a better impression of it without so many of Brent’s pointless pictures. These are a few of the lesser pointless pictures, without the selfies.

I enjoyed Brent’s vacation photos. I went to Hawaii before I started gardening, which was good as I would probably try to bring too many plants home.

Much of what lives there would either not live here, or would not look like it does there. Even less of what lives in Hawaii would live in climates that are harsher than ours.

Thank you. I don’t think I would ever get to Hawaii, so this armchair tour will do me fine.

You are welcome, but these are just six mundane pictures from someone who is primarily interested in flora. There is so much more to Hawaii. I find that pictures taken by those who are not interested in the flora are more interesting, and show more of what Hawaii looks like.

Love Hawaii, the array of palms there is spectacular. First pic, mostly Coconut Palms, those are not Kentia Palms. All I know.

That is what Brent said. On rare occasion, he is correct.

You should go..it would be a revelation. The palms alone.

I intend to, but more for horticultural interest than for anything else. I would rather vacation somewhere else. I intend to go with Brent, because he is one of the few who can appreciate the horticulture as I do. However, Brent and I travel very differently.
